Andrew Baxter co-hosts new Podcast called The Marketing Commute

Australia is producing outstanding marketing talent and exporting it to the world, according Professor Vince Mitchell, co-host of new podcast The Marketing Commute, which will feature industry news and in-depth interviews. The first ten episodes of the 30-minute podcast will feature interviews with high profile Australian marketer who have enjoyed international success.

Professor Mitchell's co-hosts will be Andrew Baxter, Senior Advisor at KPMG's Customer, Brand and Marketing Advisory business, and an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at the University of Sydney Business School; Mike Boyd, Co-Founder & CEO of Contact Light and Marketing Technologist; and Carmon Bekker, a Partner at KPMG’s Customer, Brand & Marketing Advisory business.

Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation, Australia’s largest independent community foundation, has announced the appointment of Craig Bell as the Foundation’s new Chair.

The Foundation’s outgoing Chair, Andrew Baxter, said “I am very pleased to hand over the Chair role to Craig Bell. Craig has already provided a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Foundation during an exceptional time of growth. I would like to congratulate him on his new position as Chair.”

On accepting his new position Craig said, “I’d like to thank Andrew Baxter for his service to the Board, staff and donors during his time as Chair. He has successfully steered the Foundation through a tremendous period of development and growth and added an important marketing perspective to the Foundation’s strategic development.

Conversely, some sports stars, clubs or leagues have become more wary of the brands and companies they associate with, as increased scrutiny abounds over those companies’ corporate social responsibility efforts, or the categories they operate in become less socially acceptable.

Marketing to audiences of a million or more Australians has long been the ambition of many brands.
